Tsogang Sechaba Community Project is a drop in centre based in Tshiawelo
extension 3.

The centre has been in operation since 2001 under the leadership of Tony Gloria Bodibe and 6 board members.

Tsogang Sechaba focuses on vulnerable children and orphans affected and infected by HIV/AIDS.

We believe that educating a child is way of empowering the nation. To provide supportive counselling,late birth registrations, bereavement counselling,to enable beneficiaries to have access nearest to home.

Youth unemployment in South Africa is extremely high. Nearly 70 per cent of youth in South Africa are unemployed and only 33 % owned business (NYDA, 2011).

dedicated to support and care for the families of the orphans and vulnerable children that the project focuses on.

Summary of Achievements

The organisation has successfully provided meals for children at the centre and in 6 primary schools; the number of beneficiaries is 600.

Furthermore we have managed to empower our beneficiaries through the efforts of our dedicated caregivers who have helped them with home works after school.

The aim is providing them with a decent meal every morning and afternoon and goes further to assist children with home works as a way of empowering the beneficiaries.

Tsogang Sechaba responds to these issue of unemployment as the project operates through the hard work of 35 caregivers with 2/3rds being youth

Additionaly We managed to conduct childcare forums for the children taking them through issues that affect teenagers.
